And I remember what he said. How he'd seen her today and he'd wanted nothing more to just pull her into his arms and kiss her again. It was then I had realised I was so stupid. You can't have nice things Jin! A good life wasn't meant for you because you know it all goes to shit in the end.
" Is this what you want?" I said with no emotion as I slowly took off my engagement ring and held it in front of him. I kept a straight face thinking I'll make this quick and then I could shoot out of here.
"Jin... I still love you nothing will change that, there's still a place for you In my heart. I'm sorry i know you must hate me. I don't blame you if you do"
"I don't hate you" I whispered. I hate myself
Because I knew I came second best to her. And how can I not? Next to his first love, his high school sweet heart.
"I need some air" I muttered.
I didn't need to hear him out I just shoved the ring in his hand and I was out the door.
