The wind was howling as William rushed around, trying to keep the boat right side up. The tall waves crashed against his petite sailboat. As he was raised to the top of another titan wave, he saw a withered mountain, hidden by the waves. He guided his boat best he could towards the island, glad to see shelter. The waves crashed him onto the beach of the small island. He was thrown from the deck onto the wet sand, knocking him out.

It's a shame, truly... When a boy is pushed to far, he slips, and cascades down the mountain, resulting in grievous injuries, which lead to him being bound to a wheelchair. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but in this world, he was seen as a liability, he was unable to find a friend, someone to connect to, all because he couldn't walk to a conference room, having his only solace be the bedridden USS Yorktown.
