anna summers is a 15 year old girl who transfers to a new school after her dad overdoses. she is left with her alcoholic mom, her younger sisters eva and rose, and an absent older brother. just to make her life extra difficult, anna is bisexual. her whole family is christian and not accepting. she lives in rural indiana, and has to keep her entire personality a secret. anna is very shy and always has her nose in a book.
delilah chase appears to be your average basic, popular girl. let's just say she is not. she may be captain of the cheer team, president of the model u.n., and lead role in all of the school musicals, but delilah is lesbian. nobody knows her secret, aside from her best friends wren and tucker. delilah is very outgoing and is almost always talking to someone in her class.
anna and delilah have all of the same classes, so tension rises quickly. these two will grow together and soon realize the other's feelings. eventually everything ends up criss-crossed and back again.
