A mask. It’s the one item that everyone wears. It’s the one accessory that everyone owns to blend in with the crowd. It conceals what you really feel, and who you really are. The mask lies, whether it’s for the better or worse. Sometimes I think of ripping my mask off and telling everyone my real story, but the mask is the only thing that’s keeping my reputation and emotions alive. I’m too ashamed. I can’t.
