She knew there was something out there.

No, not some measly grizzly bear or huge mountain lion. Those were disappearing, and at drastic rates, too. Something was going on in the woods, she could see it, kind of.

The woods weren't as quiet as they seemed to be, let alone still.

Something was out there, and it was making Thea Finch as restless as a gopher was for Spring.

So she searched.

No amount of years of moving, going hungry, fear of her mother not coming home, drunken yelling or anything else she went through could prepare her for what she found in the woods.

Nothing.

But there's nothing worse than the haunting screams that plagued her mind, ripped at her throat, and squeezed the air right from her lungs.

Except for the shift in silence that came afterward.

Hi Readers, Before you read this book, I just wanted to say that I am currently in the process of rewriting this story. Changes, whether they are big or small will be applied and things will most likely be cut. I am looking towards making this story more consistent since its not evident in the first draft. I hope that you will continue to support this story nevertheless of the changes made. Kindest Regards, Christine *** Prologue "She's here! We've found her!" The girls parents came racing over to the river bank that separated the two werewolf packs. "She's not breathing! Why isn't she breathing?!" The man pushed the woman out of the way gently and leaned down to check the young girls breathing. He put one hand on the girl's chest and started compression. He checked the girl's breathing again and continued with compression. The girls started to cough up river water. The man pulled her swiftly to her side so that she could expel the rest of the water out through her mouth. "Oh, honey!" the woman gathered the girl up in her arms and squeezed. The girl looked around disorientated. There were strange men and men from her own pack standing around her. "What happened?" She murmured. The woman looked down at her daughter with tears flowing down her face. "You nearly died." *** *Check out the rest of the prologue for more* #1 HigherPower #1 EpicBattles 2# Flames 2# PackMates 36# Power Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2020 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2021 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine Copyright © All Rights Reserved 2022 NeoNixButterfly21/Christine ~ All chapters hereafter are protected by copyright. It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. He started writing on it as a way to let anyone who came to the amusement park to leave immediately. first chapter of "The Drafted Reality and Dreams" has been rewritten! it's a bit shorter and has the same details just like the first chapter originally did. ⚠️ !This novel includes drugs, murder/murderers, cussing, suicide! ⚠️ [Draft] - No Proofreading or editing.

I couldn't breathe. I couldn't see. An intense bubbling pressure filled my mind and a burning pain filled my body like lava. Was I moving? Fighting? I couldn't even tell. The pain is unbearable, and I have never felt so detached from my mind ever before. Is this death? All at once the fiery burning pain that filled my veins turned to ice, and a new pain formed, sending my body into a shock. I could feel my teeth chattering like a woodpecker on wood, and hear it slightly also; Why can I shiver but not scream? My thoughts didn't carry far, as I felt my body come slightly back into my control, the pain still under my skin and ears ringing. I started thrashing and yelling due to my new found control of my body. My voice sounded foreign to my ears, and came out more a gargle than a yell, something was in my mouth. I felt hands against my arms, restraining me and voices speaking quickly and hushed. A sharp pain in my neck brought me darkness and the pain finally stopped. Number Three is thrown into a confusing trial of tests regarding her new found abilities and developments, although she is left with no memory of what was before. All she knows is that her existence is for Project Interitus, or that's at least what the doctors who run the facility say. Luckily for her she isn't alone in these new found discoveries, three colleagues join her, One, Four, and Seven. All of them are wary and unsure of the facility in which they stay, nor trusting of the people who run the trials, as they continue to dismiss and silence any questions or thoughts they have regarding how they came to be or what they're there for. Memories resurface, and curiosity grows stronger as this group of test subjects become closer and more intuitive, making it more of a challenge for them to be controlled without rebellion. What is the purpose of her abilities? Will Three ever regain her memories of the past or did she never have one to begin with? Lets just hope she survives.

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

FIREFLIES - Eyeless Jack X Reader

21 parts Ongoing

Your parents always told you that Fireflies were magic. Even when you grew older and realized they were just neat little bugs, you couldn't help the feeling of enchantment you'd feel whenever you saw one. You decided to take your best friend and her boyfriend on a little camping trip, in hopes of seeing the Fireflies at the time of year when they're most active. You arrived a day early, so you spent that time doing the typical camping things; cooking s'mores over the fire, listening to music on her Bluetooth speaker, telling scary stories in the dark. It was a lot of fun. Eventually, the night drew on and your companions grew weary. Everyone called it a night and headed to bed, yourself included. The next morning, without meaning to, you awoke before the sun and found yourself unable to fall back asleep. So, you took a little walk to ease the feeling of restlessness. However, you didn't plan on seeing something unspeakable while you were out. What you witnessed that morning will change your life forever.
