Something was going on in the woods, she could see it, kind of. The woods weren't as quiet as they seemed to be, let alone still. Something was out there, and it was making Thea Finch as restless as a gopher was for Spring. So she searched. No amount of years of moving, going hungry, fear of her mother not coming home, drunken yelling or anything else she went through could prepare her for what she found in the woods. Nothing. But there's nothing worse than the haunting screams that plagued her mind, ripped at her throat, and squeezed the air right from her lungs.
