Emberly remembers like it was just days ago. A love so strong so inexperienced, and her and Elijah believed it would last. Camp. That's where it all began. The whining, the packing of the bags, and being shipped for the whole summer. There. That is where she met Elijah. The love of her life. Or at least the unexpected man of her dreams. With the age of 13 and Elijah age of 14, what would two minor teens be doing with a word called love? Nothing as you expected right? No these two minor teens turned love into a fictional book. And it all happened by the campfire. By the campfire along with a campfire song. Which they turned into THEIR campfire song. Soon enough the love was coming to an end. With Elijah moving down to D.C, their love descended and they never spoke again. 10 years has passed with Emberly turning 23, she took a job at her old camp site. Not realizing Elijah was now the owner, she bumps into him. Will the two lovers reconnect their love again? Or will they just stay friends?

Hope Smith would not describe herself as outgoing. Deep down, she knew that her life was ruled by her fears, but things were about to change. She had just graduated high school, suffered through her parents divorce and made what she thought was a simple decision to go camping, alone. Little did she know that this trip would challenge her heart and change her life. Would it be for the better? She would need to confront her past regrets, let go of her fears and become unguarded. Running into Ethan Thompson was the last thing on her mind...until she did. Could he be just what she needed? ***** This story is part of a series: Guarded Hope - book one Waiting for Hope - book two ( not a sequal but written from a different POV) Hope Unguarded - book three (chapters will be posted starting November 2016) Let me start by saying that this is the first story I have ever written. Therefore I honestly believe it is not my best work. Don't get me wrong, it's good if I do say so myself. I've heard from many of you that you enjoyed it, liked it and even loved it, which makes me happier than you could know. All that is to say that my writing has really improved since starting this story January of 2016 and I can see my progression. I hope you enjoy this, especially after I just dissed my own work!!
