"Hi. Hey. Um hello?" a sentence that changed my sorry excuse of a life forever. Katherine Collins is a, weird, isolated, "freak", who goes to high school In the 80's. Katherine is often called a "freak" for her style, interests, and overall manner because she is quite the different person. She has been obsessed with the paranormal ever since her mother passed away seven years ago, on one of her "quests for truth" she opens up a portal and a ghost is stuck in her reality. This ghost is named Nathaniel and has been alone and dead for years. Kat being the only one who is able to talk, see, and interact with this strange being becomes friends with him. They both share a lot of similarities, resulting in Nathaniel helping Kat cope with her abusive father and deceased mother. Kat starts to develop strange feelings for Nathaniel, ones she's never felt for ANYONE. This fuels her burning question, is this all just a delusion?

"My name is Katrina, call me Kat." Kat is a 16 year old 'It is what it is.' kind of girl, she has a lovely boyfriend, Daniel. She also has a few friends; Adelaide, Sammy, Ethan, & Christian. She has a few enemies; Grace & her plastic posse. She's the average teen, and her life SEEMS pretty normal, except she's in foster care because her parents were brutally murdered a year ago. They never found any traces of the murderer. Kat has glitches here and there; seeing, hearing, and feeling things that are not there. She also has black outs, and dreams about strange things. Sometimes she even thinks she was the one who murdered her own parents. When she returns to San Diego to visit her siblings, her life turns into a rollercoaster. Bouncing between her boyfriend and her ex-love, her parents death, and figuring out the difference between friends and enemies, her life becomes pretty hectic.
