Follow the tale of two brothers in the Roman Republic. Quintus Lebenius, a slender and shrewd man, and Marcus Lebenius, a burly but dense man. They live a mundane life in the frontier of the province of Cisalpine Gaul, under constant threat of barbarian invasion and schemes of Roman politicians.
Despite these constant dangers, their life remains mostly quiet and comfortable. They live in a remote area with little importance in the surrounding region. With many servants to attend to their various whims and guards to ensure their well being, very little of the greater world beyond crossed their mind.
With such an easy life, what more could they ask for? What could possibly go wrong?
