Sticks and bones may break my bones but bones will heal. These scars won't fade. She was fine. Fun. Chill. Always with a smile or a joke. She pretends she's fine, that nothing's wrong, that her smile is every bit as real as her cuts. She has people who need her, people who rely on her but she's slowly slipping away from them and they have no idea what's happening to her. She doesn't know what changed but it was sudden, like someone flicking a light switch, engulfing her and everyone around her in darkness. Evie was the wild child of the bunch. She was always everywhere and doing everything, all so she could pour it into her writing. Being a writer was the dream she held since she was a child, but to be the best, she needed to make a name for herself. However the local scholarships were not enough to cover the costs of attending her dream school. Evie was determined to find a way to pay for her education, but she was running out of options. That was, until West came back. West was a childhood friend. They used to play together when they were kids, but as they grew older, they drifted apart and lost touch. It's been a couple of years since they had last seen each other, and when West randomly needed to stay at Evie's house for a few weeks, she wasn't sure what to expect. They each needed a plan to get what they wanted, and they each had what the other needed. It seemed like a win-win situation for both of them.
