A little challenge I did for myself a while ago. I asked a friend if he could give me a location and a genre, and I would attempt to write a story of just two pages in with that input.
The result is as it says on the tin: Mars and sword & sorcery. Please enjoy this short story about a man angrily yelling at the sky and then fighting an angel. If you feel like it, please let me know what you think!
