As the boy stared blankly at his phone, explosions rang through out his surroundings. Screams of agony and pain rung through the air, blood splattered the ground like droplets of rain. Fire reigned supreme over the terrain that was once New York, yet the boy still stared at his phone waiting for her reply.

But it never came.

He knew it wouldn't come but he still held some semblance of hope that in the unpredictable apocalypse that the one ray of hope in his disappointing life would shine on him once more. He stood up and walked forward ignoring the cries and disaster raging around him. His eyes lifeless and blank as fire swirled around him. "Your king is here." He said to the burning corpses that slowly stood up and kneeled.
