What do you do, if you have the special angel blood but no special abilities at all? Being in love the first time with her jealous father at her side and desperately unhappy in boring Alicante - why should she hesitate? Ruby gets the Chance to go to New York Institute and accepts it (almost) immediately. Under a false name. What could possibly go wrong and why should someone always want to be compared with Jace Herondale and Clary Fray?
This is a next-Generation-Fanfic I wrote some time ago. Something important you have to know: everything until City of Heavenly Fire went as written by Cassandra Clare. I had the Idea after reading these books and afterwards I didn't want to change anything. So my own versions of our beloved main characters had a different live, but I tried to make them like I would think, they could possibly be, when they are adults.
Maybe it's a stupid idea, but I want to improve my english (I'm from switzerland) and so I try to translate it. If you find errors please tell me (I think, my grammar will be the worst, but I hope, i get it mostly right). And if you like the story, tell me to.

The Angel Raziel punished Clary for creating another rune after she was forbidden to do so. In order to kill her brother, Jonathan, and save the world from his wrath, she had to create a rune. The punishment was that she would lose all her memories of the Shadow World, of her family and friends, but most of all, of her Jace. When she said goodbye to her brother in Toronto and laid him to rest, her first rune disappears, her angelic rune. She does not tell anyone because it is Alec's wedding and she does not want to ruin it. At the reception, Jace takes Clary to the dance floor and starts with a speech that sounds like he is ready to propose to Clary, so she interrupts him by telling him how much she loves him, and after she passionately kisses him, says she needs to get air and leaves him standing on the dance floor. Jace stands there looking at her, feeling that something is off with Clary, and says "I love you too." after her. He decides to look in their room for her and finds a letter telling him of the punishment that the angels gave her, and that she would no longer have her memories of him, but that she would always love him. He falls to the floor and screams out because he has lost her again. He vows that he will love her from afar and will always protect her. What happens when and If Clary regains her memories? What happens when Jace makes a discovery that will forever change Jace and Clary's lives? Jace will have the biggest decision of his life to make. What will he decide?
