The year is 2050 and humankind is in an age of prosperity. The Sahara desert is now a lush farmland, the amazon is twice its original size, poverty is almost non existent, all cars are now electric, food is grown in huge urban farms, cancer has been cured and great strife's are being made technologically. The future of civilisation has never looked brighter, but in March 2050, a ginormous army of 500,000 people has appeared out of a huge ball of electricity, the size of Manhattan and their leader, General Hunter Padlock, speaks of a world where there are only 1 billion humans left, a world where humanity has fought a 40 year long war with malevolent machines, intent on butchering all humans, a world where humankind is suffering from starvation, desperation, panic and despair.
