It first started as a joke, nothing serious. A joke revolving around Asian countries, then Europe, it was only a matter a time it reached every corner of the world.
Almost four years of dealing with this virus, the ordinary seemed impossible to achieve. No human contact whatsoever, no crowded public spaces, populations dramatically dropping. No public schools, no restaurants.
It felt so... Plain, deserted. The city grey, the fog wrapped around slender towers of glass. The faint light looming over the windows. The eerie silence filling every corner.
Until... He came in.
