Well I know a lot of people wouldn't want to hear depressing stories, but this a true story. Its something that I have been going through as a teenager with many questions to life, and what I've experienced and seen and felt. What will be written in this book will be true and basically what I want to share since nobody what's to touch topic on such a subject.
This book will be spiritual and will uncover quite many things and I encourage you not to loose interest. It will shadow how being in an African home is like too which is not easy since there are many expectations from you and very sensitive content.
Like how you are always expected to dress a certain way, speak a certain way and look a certain way. Not too talkative, not too smart, not too loud ,not to short tempered or else you wont basically get married.
Yeah I know what does all that have to do with marriage?
Good question. Well I'll explain.
In an African home when a girl acts certain ways, they either never get married or get arranged married, or better yet to leave the house, JUST DIE!!!!
lol I'm kidding, but living in an African home is not easy, and as some parents think that their children are normal, but no we not. We suffer with issues such as depression and never tell. So we basically start dying slowly inside...

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. Okay, it's my first time writing on here, although I don't write much but I do read a lot, so I know that most stories center around teenagers and their love life, high school drama, newly weds and their marriage life, etcetera. Well, I'm not gonna apologise for disappointing you guys, Cos I have a feeling this book would do well, and that it wouldn't be a waste of your time. The teenage period is usually not always easy. You make mistakes, you learn from them. It's like a moulding phase towards adulthood, which tends to be harder than adults make it sound. Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me.
