Mateo. That is the name of a boy I've been bestfriends with since preschool. Last year, Mateo is the one who comforted me when my boyfriend of 13 months broke up with me. By the way, my name is Delilah. Anyways, he was always there for me, and I admit... I caught feelings. But I was too late. He started dating one of the popular girls. The annoyed voice you just heard? That's Liv, his girlfriend. I wish everything could just go back to normal.

"You. Have. A. Crush?" one of my best friends looked at me like I was some kind of an alien from outer space. The shock on her face made me regret telling this to her. I then gave her a sheepish smile but honestly, I despised that look on her face or on anybody's face. Hey! I'm a person too. Am I not allowed to have a crush?! "Oh shut up and let her finish!" I silently thanked my other best friend seated next to me. "What?! I thought she didn't have a heart and now look!" Willow replied blatantly. I gave her a look. "Soooo, what's his name?"
