"The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out. "A thank you would be nice, you know?", his hooded figure approached me with a smirk. "Never", I hissed. "But I saved your life", he kept coming closer. "You saved my life?!", I shrieked, "You freaking THREW ME OUT OF THE WINDOW!?" *** Superhero in disguise. That's who the eighteen-year-old Annie Kathryn Sweetheart is. Determined to uncover the man hiding under the infamous villain Damon, her senior year is thrown into a chaotic mess. While he was the one behind her mother's death, Damon was known to torture his victims until they lose consciousness and leave them with a purple lilac flower, or at least until the police or Lady Solain, the beloved heroine -- who is Annie -- find them. Damon is threatening her. Lady Solain is after him. None of them will stop until a throat is slaughtered. That's a lot of weight to hold up considering she's building a life, uncovering a well-hidden identity, and dealing with the new villain in town who's firing direct threats -- not only towards her and the citizens but towards Damon as well. There's a lot a woman could take, but alas break them or be broken. Her infatuation with the crown prince, Vincent Pyrecrest, sets the stage for heartbreak when she's falsely accused of plotting against Terra Hawthorne, Vincent's beloved. Facing imminent execution, Liliana mysteriously awakens at the age of 14, armed with knowledge of the future and newfound abilities in Floral Mastery. But her rebirth led to newfound discoveries. Elma, her best friend, had always had telepathic magic she never knew about. Her friend Aiden went unnoticed and was never able to attend the academy, but this time he will. All because of her. After being reborn, she decides that this time, she will live her life to the fullest and make sure to use her knowledge to help her friends fulfill their dreams. She will avoid Vincent and Terra at all costs. But things start to change quickly. The cold-hearted crown prince now seems to love her, and the Marquess is unusually different from before. "Liliana Frostvine, your time has not yet ended. Hope you will be able to cherish your love this time, truly." "I was innocent..." "I wish I could turn back time, and I did Liana, I did." She opens her eyes again to realize she has gained new powers, but is still confused as to what she wants, Revenge or a Happy life? In the end, she decides to choose them both, for her own sake. But as she navigates the intricate web of politics and matters of the heart, she grapples with the looming question: can she truly change her destiny, or is she condemned to repeat it? [BOOK TWO] "Anniversaries to some are like counting the years spent doing something great, years spent together, or years spent alive." I started slowly, voice dropping to a drawl as I peeked cautiously out of my bedroom blinds, scanning the road to see if there was a cloaked figure watching my every movement. "I view anniversaries as counting down the days till death finds me." *** After the events of her wonderfully packed 21st birthday, Addison was ready to retire back into her home and never again see the light of day. It wasn't a totally bad idea. After all, her family's generations-old riches was enough to tide her over until the day her past finally catches on, and until that day finally arrives, she had no intention to step out of her front door. And to think the last time she did, she ended up in the game of cat and mouse with a cynical hooded spirit that wanted her dead and her soul in a glass bottle for his own little sadistic collection. Silence had followed the whole year after the disastrous party. For nearly 365 days, Addison had no trouble with unwanted evil celestial beings lurking around her house in an attempt to take her soul away with a world-stopping kiss. However, the silence was too often, and the world had become too quiet. Reason being? Apparently, Death's new move was to kidnap her best friend Minnie Hoover in an attempt to bait her down to hell itself. Life became much quieter without one-third of her little clique. And so Addison ventured away from the safety of her home, in search of her best friend. After all, silence creeps the heart just as death does, and the world was now deadly silent. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #9 Highest Rank Teen Fiction: #77

I would think that'd mean he isn't exactly... welcomed by the collage anymore. For some reason...." Midnight looked at him with her eyes filled with worry. "I've been there, I know what it exactly feels to be hated by the world. I won't let another human feel that way ever again, even if it costs my life. I will heal you from your pain."
