A seemingly normal child seeks help from Tantei association, but the founder of Tantei association says he can't be trusted at first sight!?

A mysterious unfriendly guest arrived earlier at Tantei association, warning them that a boy at the age of 10 would soon arrive at their office and that they better hand him over to them as he is 'a thief like his father'.

Soon enough, a young boy at the age of 10 of such description arrives where Tantei association is situated.  He claims to be haunted down ruthlessly by powerful figures as the fight for the throne takes a turn for the worst.

The only thing the boy was given was a key that unlocks a sinister mystery.

Even so, while the boy wasn't listening, much to the shock of the members, Ranran turn to her partner and told him quietly, "He cannot be trusted.", much to the shock of the other members.

What did she mean by that? Could she be wrong? 

And what if she isn't wrong?

Tantei association is in for a turbulent ride as one lie after another keeps exposing them to deadly danger. In a case filled with the ugliness behind the royal family, poverty, injustice, and corruption, will Kudo Ranran and Kudo Shinichi be able to unveil the truth before anyone gets harmed?
