Alethea

Alethea is heir to the throne of Xilai, a small kingdom now in turmoil after her parents, the king and queen, were assassinated. Her guardian, and her mother's old "friend", Rahien, is left in charge of the kingdom until she comes of age, but Alethea is afraid she won't last that long. Alethea, you see, is powerful. Both her parents are of magical descent, and Alethea, is a projector empath, meaning if her emotions are strong enough, she can project them unto others. However, that power also comes at a price- she cannot hold her emotions in for long, or else she will lose control. Rahien is constantly pushing her, trying to break her, because he wants her power for his own, so that he might conquer the neighboring kingdoms without lifting a finger. What will she do?
