William 'Will' Byers is a 16 year old boy who has just moved to Hawkins, Indiana. In his old town, he had always seen a particular boy roaming around every once in a while. Now the familiar face shows up again. Michael Wheeler.
Michael 'Mike' Wheeler is a 17 year old boy who has lived in Hawkins, Indiana his whole life. He knows every speck of it! He is also the most popular boy at Hawkins high school!
When Will's mom meets Mike's mom, Mike is asked to show Will around town and the school. But at school:
1. Will gets bullied and called gay
2. The bullies are Mike's friends
3. Mike doesn't do anything about it
Even thought he doesn't do anything about it, a friendship forms between him and Will. Thats when Will tells him a secret. Mike likes to tease him about it, but he is going to protect Will at all costs.
