Maddison is quiet, guarded and independent. Her mother left when she was young and her father, whom she lives with, hardly acknowledges her and focuses on science instead. Maddison thinks nothing of it, she knows her father is the best at what he does, she understands that he is needed in the world and she is not. What Maddison doesn't know is that whatever her father has been working on, is meant for her and it is making her less human each day. "Maddison will evolve. She would no longer be your daughter, Peter." The middle-aged woman spoke lowly. "Don't you see, Janette? That's what this world needs - evolution. Maddison is only giving us a head start." The woman - Janette - lifted herself out of the chair. "Then I hope I will no longer be alive to see the day. For an evolution such as Maddison's...the world would not be prepared." "Your existance will make no difference to the outcome, Janette. And I'm surprised you wouldn't think I had a Plan B." He smirked at the glaring woman. "And that would be?" "Calum Hood." © 2014 mikeyhihey
