When high school student Chrystin was chosen to go on a science camp for the gifted, the excursion didn't end up in Sydney. Instead Chrystin and her friends Jamie and George, and also the snobby Millie and Harry, end up in Mount Unsean, held hostage by a rogue teacher determined to get revenge on their parents. 
There is no escape from Mount Unsean, with a dome surrounding them and no way to break the dome.
