After a furious showdown with the King of All Evil, Princess Zelda tells Link that she is responsible for dragging him into such a mess. She tells him that she wants to send him back to relive his lost childhood, but Link makes a bold decision that will change the outcome of the terrible fate that was to be bestowed upon him.

This is my second main story. If you haven't already, read my story "What Comes After," the story of what happens to the Hero of Time after Majora's Mask. There are a lot of references to it in this, so I'd recommend reading that first.

Blighted Memories
Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. He wasn't a man who had time to deal with or worry about things like memories anyway. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him. Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures, not quite monster and not quite human, begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he travels across the land to find a way to destroy these creatures. It should've been just another job for him, just a problem the people needed solved, just another errand for the incarnation of Hylia's hero. But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels what he lost, what he failed to protect, even after one hundred years. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all. As he journeys on his quest to defeat Ganon and save Princess Zelda, Link must learn to contend with another ancient evil that taints the land, all while facing the ghosts of his forgotten past. Written in Blood . {After OoT/MM fic} Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves. > < . Princess zelda, struggling to awaken her sacred power, learns to love by her knight. The tension slowly building between them... Starting as a fiery hate towards Link turns into an undeniable passionate love story of forbidden love and desire for closeness in secret. Peeling back Link's hardend exterior revealing his heart, Zelda yearns to be free with him in the open. A zelink fanfic occuring before the events of breath of the wild. Not everything is canon. Tears of the Deity
Link, the Hero of Hyrule, has just learned of Princess Zelda's fate after seeing the final dragon tear. Overcome with grief, he sets out to seek a legendary power, one he believes will guarantee Hyrule's victory...and his revenge. But will he lose himself in the process? Author's note: This story takes place during Tears of the Kingdom, right after Link discovers the last of the dragon tears. It combines elements from that story, in addition to some of my other favorite Legend of Zelda games. Though I generally try to stay true to lore, at times I made adjustments to help things flow. That is all until Hyrule's neighboring nation, Gerudia, conducted a large scale invasion of its surrounding countries. How A Princess Fights.
When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try. A Cinderella meets Legend of Zelda, but the roles are reversed. Instead of a prince looking for his princess, the princess Zelda must balance her duty with her desires. Instead of a young maiden turned maid, Link is stuck protecting his younger sister from their evil stepfather and stepbrothers. News of the reincarnation of Ganondorf is given to the royal family. The young Princess Zelda is pushed harder than ever to unlock her sacred sealing power, while also expected to hide this terrifying information from her kingdom. But all she wants is to pursue her passion of studying the flora and fauna of Hyrule. As a son of a royal knight, Link has a fighter's spirit. When his father died from an untimely illness, his mother had to marry in order to provide for her two children. Shortly after, she passed, too, leaving Link and his sister to their stepfather. Link was forced to do the household chores if he wanted his stepbrothers to keep their hands off his sister. Though they were victorious in sealing the beast, the monstrous servants of the Calamity still linger, and the most of the kingdom was lost to time and taken over by the wild. Opting to forgo their titles and start a new life as regular travelers before starting to rebuild the kingdom, Link and Zelda begin their new life in the Era of the Wild, trying to discover why the monsters still exist. Little do they know, someone might be guiding them toward a quite unexpected trial... Until The Last Breath
A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon. Hyrule needs a hero, and that hero happens to be Link. Takes place after Breath of the Wild. The cover photo isn't mine! All character rights go to Nintendo, but the plot is mineee!
