Those were the words Matt whispered in Emilia's ear as she fell asleep in his arms the previous night, and for the first time truly understands their meaning.
Emilia has always struggled with self confidence resulting from a childhood devoid of parental love and where every decision was controlled for her.
Up until now she's avoided Matt meeting her parents fearing how they could contaminate their relationship, but this is all about to end as her parents have decided to visit leaving Emilia helpless to prevent this happening.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
