The Arcane West.

A barren land of rolling prairies and desert plains and ragged townships and distant mountains wreathed in snow. A country that brings suffering to all who dare venture through it. But there is wealth and promise to be found in the right places. Dreams fostered in the hearts of brave and foolhardy settlers as they spill out across the dusty wilderness.

Who can find the strength to face the archaic evils of The West and who will be consumed by them? And with how the desert touches and corrupts all who walk it, is either a better fate?

Follow a watch-maker consumed by the mastery of his craft. A tobacconist with a gods-stricken fear of the moon. The old sheriff of a struggling outpost, outmatched by the threat of outlaws and the prairie's more ancient evils. As the lives of both settlers and natives are measured against the arcane hostility of The West, stories intertwine and coalesce and divide.

What is the secret beating at the heart of the prairie's seemingly cognizant malice? And what is it all worth?

A Wolf's Dynasty: The Echo of Wildwood by TheDreamWeaverWolf

As the sunset gifted by the Dream Weaver extended itself upon the five territories of the wolves, the pulse of the earth was easily felt as if a giant heart was beating in the deep rock of the cliffs on the Indian Ocean's coastline, stretching upon miles and arriving at the center of the small island thriving beside the border of America. The strong orange light brushed the fur of the creatures known as the wolves, who haunted the mountains with the crying howls of sorrow. Those of them asked to guard the border quickly scanned the perimiter of their huge amount of land with great efficiency, as their large amber brown eyes were able to see large patches of forest and mountain extending along their home. The expanding rumours are becoming threatening... The humans would try and attack the wolves ruthlessly, destroying anything in their path- biggest meadow to smallest toadstool. All the wolves could do is hope that they would not spill as much blood as other packs have in the past, creating chaos between their trinity: the Lhight, the Spirits and the Dream Weaver. They couldn't let that happen again... who has the guts to venture out and find out what the humans are planning? Join Thunder, as he embarks on the quest to seek out how the humans have been obliterating nature so effortlessly. On the way, he will discover many events happen: raging wars, fallen cities, and a great lot more... but can one wolfdog that has only recently become a pack member, make it through the challenges that lay ahead?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! Buchanan Oliver Thompson always believed he was destined for greatness-just as certain as the sun rose in the East or his father's company reported another year of record profits. The only problem was, life was too comfortable, too easy, to truly test his mettle. That is, until a woman came along. Or at least, a woman's wanted poster. Kristine "The Queen" Burnshire had been wreaking havoc across the expanding West, terrorizing the brave, unlucky families who sought fortunes and a new life in the rich, untamed land west of the Mississippi. Her infamy spread like wildfire, and the government wasted no time in placing a bounty on her head. Every man worth his salt was after Kristine Burnshire, drawn by the promise of money, land, and glory. Buchanan was no exception. But when Buchanan actually succeeds in tracking down The Queen, will he have the courage to bring her to justice? Or will the wild West break him, leaving his bones to bleach under the relentless sun?
