Mary Sue Jensen is just starting high school after moving from her modest home in southern Virginia to a modest home in... northern Virginia. Over the summer she spends most of her time watching teen romance movies and reading on Wattpad to try to see what to expect in her new school. Using her knowledge of dialogue, clichés, and plot points from her chosen media, she navigates her new environment with startling incompetence.

UPDATES TUES/ THURS

This book is a parody on the popular "not like other girls" tropes found in most popular books on this website. It will somewhat explore how these unrealistic stereotypes and narratives can affect a young person's expectations. By writing this I do not mean to discredit any author on this site who uses the trope, they are still undoubtedly talented and deserve all of the praise and credit they have from their stories. :)
