A genderless protagonist has been watching the world turn chaotic. The protagonist finds that the problem is the thing they hate most: teenagers. After bumping into their ex (referred to as Jamie) they seek out the teenagers causing all these problems. In turn, this puts them in kahoots against the government. Saving the world may jeopardize one, or both, of their lives. Will this newfound adventure spark an old flame, or will it simply burn out? And will either of them survive long enough to find out?

After finding out the horrors of a bad foster home and living at the youth shelter for the last few months, Jamie Seymour has a chance to get out by being granted emancipated minor status. Jamie has a clear picture in mind for how she wants her life to go, but it is going to be harder than she thought to make it happen. To be able to stay an emancipated minor she will need to deal with her irrational fears, gain control over her temper, and prove she can fit in at her new school. Unfortunately, she has managed to make some enemies that will stop at nothing to sabotage her. Luckily, Jamie has supportive uncles, new friends, a special guy, and her own abilities fight for her dreams. ...but will it be enough to make things go the way she pictures it?
