This is a story of which Migo and the rest of the yetis are the legendary Bigfeet (plural of Bigfoot) instead of yetis, and they have been at war with the humans of Nepal for a long time.
This changes though when a dyslexic British adult (Percy) comes into the world of the big hairy Sasquatches and meets one in person, one who's friendly and doesn't have hatred for humans because of his early-grown doubt and the fact that he has never actually been to the human world and has only heard stories about Smallfeet.
But as all the other Bigfeet won't accept a human trespassing into their village, Migo and the crazy potion maker Meechee are suspected of hiding one from them, forcing them out of their big village to go on a magical though challenging journey to bring Percy back home to his own world.

They are what I thought they could have been if they had a bit more mental issues than shown in the books/movies.
