19 year old Parker X Wilde loved his home in Washington DC,or District of Columbia if you prefer. He had just recently graduated high school, he was perfectly happy and content staying home and watching over his younger adopted sister Aubree. And at 3pm picking up his two younger brothers from the local Middle and Elementary school. He had a great life, lots of friends, a cool car, a nice house, wealthy parents and awesome siblings! But all that changed when his fathers job called for Parker and his family to move to the tiny, hillbilly town of Marshfield, Missouri. Hillbillies and rednecks as far as the eye could see. The city boy didn't want this. He was perfectly happy with the city life. Not this. Sure there was some city, not a lot. It had the bar necessities. He heard a rumor from a friend that had family there and she said "The mall of Marshfield is the wal-mart." That did it. This town will suck and will do nothing but make him miss his home-town and wish we took advantage of it while he had it...or will it? Will Parker meet Mrs. Right? Fulfill his basketball scholarship for Miami Heat? So many questions, such little time. Join Parker on his quest to make the most of Marshfield and maybe even meet someone along the way.

Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote.
