A future au of Avatar the Last Airbender. Taking the concept but a different storyline ie. Different characters and background etc. (For you atla people the word 'bend' is changed to 'warp').

  Someone can only warp one element because of their mutated X gene, but the Daemon, that's a whole different story no one knows about because the first one was killed on sight 100 years ago and there hasn't been another since. They can warp all 4 elements. It's their really weird and rare gene. Everyone calls it the Demon because that's what Daemon sounds like, but Daemon actually means a supernatural being between gods and humans, I believe they'll help the world someday, in whatever kind of world we are living in, but maybe not now.

  When the non-warpers saw their disadvantage, they forced us warpers into labour. I don't know how they did or managed it but maybe the first warpers were too shocked to do anything about it. Anyway, it has been 100 years since the Rising which is when the last pillar went up successfully and I live in the lower ring with all the other warpers and will-bes and I hate it.

The people in the colonies do not, hatred starts to grow in their hearts. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives.
