The solar system is barely Beginning to settle down after the fall of the Republic which reigned over all that fell under the umbrella of worlds and space stations once colonised or captured by the First republic of Earth. For the first time in many centuries, the entire Earth empire was governed by a single man. A king. But the secrets that lie within this man could mean the end of both the fledging monarchy and the entire Earth empire.
  
Hey guys, this is my first attempt at sci-fi i know its not all perfectly polished but just let me know what you think of this Prologue of sorts.

The novel started as a short story that was submitted to a writing contest (didn't win). It is very loosely based upon the Babylon 5 Universe (telepaths, shadows, plethora of different races, etc.). I still continued to think about the story and how it ended without a final resolution (though the story did have an ending, it left a lot of questions about the protagonist). Thanks to the obsession and compulsion I have with writing (it's a blessing and a curse) I decided to continue the story to final resolution. This is it. A race called the Chitoxan came from an unknown area of space and declared war on the races making up the Earth-Alliance. More technically advanced than the races they encounter, the overwhelming power of the shadow vessels results in most battles ending in complete defeat for the Earth-Alliance. Only by massing fire on an individual shadow vessel or, in extremely desperate situations, committing suicide with a ship's reactor overload, can a shadow vessel be defeated. Earth and Earth-alliance colonies are slowly being conquered and occupied by Chitoxa. The humans on these occupied colonies are enslaved and forced to serve the Chitoxan's every need. A young man volunteers for the Space Marines during the Chitoxan war. Upon induction, he discovers that he is 'blessed' with unique abilities. However, these abilities cause his life to be changed drastically and terribly. He is taken away and forced into a never-ending nightmare. After a quick and violent encounter between Earth and Chitoxa, another Earth fleet is beaten and is almost wiped out. The surviving ship gets a lucky shot at an attacking shadow vessel, slicing off one of its appendages. The pain and shock of the loss does something to the human controller of the battle crab....

All sorts of systems were going offline. Water, sewage, air, heating, cooling, weapons, and many more. What was going on? The Overseer was more decisive than I was. "Go help get the air systems back online. We can eat dry rations for two weeks, but we can't hold our breath for that long." I took off running once more. I hadn't gone far when I almost ran right into Logan. I asked, "What going on?" He grabbed my shoulders urgently. "The main computer's AI is taking over the entire ship. I need to get to a backup mainframe to try and reverse the upgrade, but I can't find the room! The AI messed up the electronic maps, and I have never been to this one before! Where is the Delta access room?!" My mind tried to wrap itself around the details as I gave directions, "...then turn left and it's by the plumbing room on that level." "Thanks!" I'm an artist with words, not book covers... Android Captain Lancieta Steegle, and an engineer from Earth named Mannie end up relying on each other for more than survival when a war is thrust onto the people of Earth. In a desperate attempt to deal some kind of blow to the Halgred, the Andromedian collective okayed a Shadow Operation to attack the Halgred Homeworld. The weapon was illegal, a bio-weapon designed to sterilize and weaken their almost otherworldly physiology. When this weapon is instead redirected to Earth by the Halgred King, Draconisis, those whom survive undergo a change. As they wake up, the people of Earth are greeted by horror of their new animalistic physiology, and for some, unimaginable abilities. The 20 or so surviving Androids of the once thousands-strong crew of the Dreadnought-Class battleship do their best to make amends and help the humans of Earth adjust to their new Bestial Planet and the even more dangerous intergalactic community. This story is "Complete" as in the last chapter was written and it's gone through about 3 re-writes and 4 rounds of editing since. Very few stories are ever finished, as we know, because there's always something we think can be or should be changed. However, I've learned that the best I can do is get it to the point where I feel comfortable with someone else reading it. Otherwise I'd never have posted anything anywhere.

There is no room for weakness or mercy. Across the vastness of space, there is only war and the echoing laughter of death and despair.

This is a fantasy type story. I've been really wanting to make this so i hope you enjoy I might make a book 2 ( as in like a season to a show ). Just note that this is my first time so pls just shut the fuck up I don't give a shit if my grammar is ass unless it effects the whole sentence in general so yeah, hope you have the most amazing dump in your life cause you know that shit AMAZING :D also if you want to you can skip to chapters 5 to 6 cause that's where shit start to pick up Oki. Acknowledgement This is millions of years in the feature where a meteor hit the earth causing the human race to make escape pods. This though made some humans to adapt and they manage to find a planet almost perfect to earth but in between the size of Saturn and Uranus. We fast forwards a few years in the future and that's where our story starts Would like to say that this story is ended. Atleast for now and this account is my old account go to literal terminology or @definitelySmart to see my new stuff.
