By day she's Lucy Tempest, civil engineer major. By night, or whenever she has time not studying, doing projects, or maintaining a social life... She's Lady Lightning, half of the dynamic duo the Storm Siblings.
                                                                                        ***
Following the legacy of their parents Captain Storm and Lady Frost, Lucy and her brother Lucas once shared the dream of ending crime in St. Jerome as the heroic Storm Siblings. But while Lucy grew out of childhood fantasies and chose to go to college in a new city, Luke couldn't seem to turn off his super hero mode. Lucy wants to find ways to fight evil without her mask on, but Luke seems to think that real heroes don't use city maps and roads to get the work done.

The compromise? Lucy stretches her double life even thinner to keep her brother content and prove that heroes don't always wear masks. She'll battle book reports and baddies, navigate a budding romance, and build friendships with the most unlikely people.

When a series of seemingly unrelated incidents spiral their city into chaos, Lucy's beliefs about who takes what identity in the fight between good vs. evil begin to waver. The villain she's been told to despise because of his mask suddenly becomes the one person who can help stop a madman from burning St. Jerome to the ground. Relationships forged in the black-and-white world of super heroism are tested as the world behind her own mask begins to appear more grey than she ever thought possible.

As she confronts the demons hiding in the hearts of good and bad alike, Lucy must draw her line in the sand and fight for what she believes is right, even if it tears apart everything she worked so hard to create as Lady Lightning.

WATTYS 2022 SHORTLISTER!!! ★━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝? ★━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★ Born in a world where people are segregated based on their abilities, twenty-six-year-old Veera Solace lives her life in the small country of Liquiord as the minority group - the disabled; or the differents, as the people like to call her. With an anonymous president and hostile community, Veera relishes her moonlit activities as Void, the shadow villain. Emotionally terrorizing her victims in hopes that they change their ways, Veera lives by burying her feelings and being what society wants her to be - teacher by day, vigilante, or villain, as the world calls her - by night. But with every villain, there's a hero and the hero to Veera's villain persona calls himself Spotlight. Their battles could rival the squabbling of a newly married couple, yet both Void and Spotlight are nothing near being a couple. They're strangers, enemies - people on different sides of the law. That changes, though, when a picture with no context is released to the public, sparking a worldwide debate about the relationship between Void and Spotlight. And as if that wasn't bad enough, there's a new hero in town - Infinite. To Void, he's nothing more than another nuisance, but to Spotlight, he's a mystery; an enemy. When havoc falls onto the city and eerily corresponds with Infinite's arrival, Spotlight, and Void have to put all feelings aside to solve the mystery that digs so deep in the past that they may never recover from it. ~*~ Featured on @antiherosgalore "Wicked Women": 12/19/22 Featured on @crime "Like a Woman": 5/28/23 Featured on @superheroes "Anti-Heroes and Awesome Antagoni

"You have lost your mind, what the hell do you think you're doing?" She yells at me. "Don't start with me." "I'm not starting shit, Elijah! This was supposed to be a night out and then you come along, you ruin everything!" The anger on her voice isn't lost on me, I've never heard her this mad before and she is dangerously attractive with the wild look in her eyes and slightly open mouth. "You shouldn't even be here! What the fuck do you mean a night out, have you gone insane?" I raise my voice unintentionally and she looks even more crazed than she did before. "That's rich, coming from the jerk who almost killed a guy minutes ago!" ********* Elijah Black is her first love. He is her only love. "Three weeks. That's how long I got to have drama-free. I'm not sure what is happening to me or to Oakwood. Nothing's the same since I rolled into town and it just keeps getting weirder. Suspicious agents in suits roam the streets without an explanation. They're staring straight at me. The new Chemistry teacher is NOT who he says he is. I'm doing things I never thought I could. Like, mutant-level things... Lauren, Luc's dead twin sister, hid something from everyone. Something important that may have lead to her demise and that could lead to ours. Hunters are in town. I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Riley's life is yet again in jeopardy, but this time she's not alone. Luc and his family are all thrown into the teetering balance. More secrets are uncovered. A trap dawns on them all. Invisible threats start crawling from all directions. Who is the real enemy? TW : behaviours of depression and PTSD are displayed. I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. Rewriting specifications : the main points of the story and end of the book will remain the same, am just going to change a few ways of getting there and adding some extra spice. Feel free to pause the read until the REWRITING sign disappears.

**A Wattpad Featured Story** Kenna Jones isn't a Superhero, and she wants to keep it that way. Though her brother, Sebastien, is a star member of the Sapphire City Super team, Kenna keeps her Super abilities to herself and far away from a celebrity lifestyle she finds selfish and disillusioning. For reasons she'd rather forget, she can't stand most Supers, and uses her mildly famous pen name as a kind of secret identity instead. One evening, fiercely independent Kenna meets the new guy, Enigma, in the most annoying circumstances, and finds him slowly chipping away at her prejudices. Then, with Villains on the loose, threatening to foist a great Evil (with a capital E) on Sapphire City and those she holds dear, Kenna has to ask herself one question: is it time for everything to change?
