The Beta Reading Club holds monthly contests consisting of a singular prompt decided upon by The Writers. The prompt can vary from using a character trait, scene, setting, etc. It can be very vague or very restricting. You can also find the contests on Instagram, @the_beta_reading_club
Our goal in these contest is for writers to have FUN and to also help them to hone their crafts. Winners of the contests will have their work published and credited on our "Contest Winners" book.

This book is comprised of all of the short stories that I've written in recent years. A good number of the stories in here were written for contests throughout Wattpad and most was inspired by Challenge Corner's 'Changing Seasons' contest. The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smackdown
I've decided to jump into the latest smackdown hosted by LayethTheSmackDown and Ooorah. This is where I'll be posting my entries. It's been fun and challenging doing these in the past and it's good motivation to churn out some stories. I haven't managed to win one yet, but in a way that's beside the point. Hopefully I can last a few rounds, but if not, that's okay, too. Good luck to all who decide to participate!
