Maurea wants a place to belong and, after finally finding it with the Spirits of The Ocean, she must defend it and her loved ones against Hunters from her past.

Maurea de'Laure is a powerless woman in the 1850s who has just left behind everything she knows for a chance at happiness. That is until she finds herself in the ocean at the heart of a story with burley, an old sailor pulling her to land. He introduces her to a world that had been hidden from humans where Maurea finally finds happiness. Well, as much happiness as expected with a flirtatious boy and scheming allies. When the lines between her past and future begin to blur, Maurea must decide what's more important: safety or freedom. Sometimes the only way to win is to lose; when the world is fighting against you.

Scared of dying from starvation, she asks a lone sailor if she and Rio can travel on his boat with him, and travel around the nearby Islands, which are filled with creatures of all kinds, like sea creatures and giants. Very quickly the trio get a job trying to collect seven treasures, and Ayda is more than happy to do it since it will help repay the sailor who (begrudgingly) let them live on his boat. But while this trio doesn't get along at first, as they travel the world, they start to like and depend on each other. Which is exactly what they'll need to do when their world that originally only suggested you listen to your prophecy suddenly starts turning against those that don't. The only problem is, Ayda doesn't want to listen to her prophecy. Because if she does, she's destined to die..
