After being away for 2 years Edward Elric returns to Resembol from his long journey, but he didn't come back empty handed. 

He first visits the Rockbell's house where he's greeted by Winry Rockbell and Granny Pinako. They welcome him with open arms as always.

As Ed immediately throws himself back into his studying, Winry tries to piece together everything he went through in the past 2 years. She fixates on all the things Ed isn't telling her and tries to ignore her growing attraction for him, she thought that her crush had disappeared over the past 2 years...

Then you found the castle in the forest, and both of your lives changed forever. (I might edit this description later...probably.) Anywho, I've had this idea for a longer Alphonse x Reader story, and I can't get this idea out of my head. This is loosely based on Beauty and the Beast, except Edward is Beast, Winry is Belle, and you're just like "I AINT LEAVING WITHOUT WINRY!" And of course Alphonse is his usual adorable armored self.
