The year was 2012. Said to be the end of the world. Well they weren't kidding. At first they thought it was a new influenza sweeping through the country and making citizens sick. It wasn't long before that was ruled out and a new breed of humanity began. Some were scared, some people were thrilled, others were just curious. Who would have guessed that one scientist could change the world? With one simple vile of hydrogenate acid, clehroforium and cytoplasm; injected into a young girl. The contagious disease spread rapidly. The effects... incredible. The new super human. Fast reflexes, sharper eyesight, able to with stand heavy weights and extreme temperatures. This was the end of the world as we knew it. But the start of something incredible, surely.

What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. And there's no one to stop it. people began to rebel against the government, and the planet grew cold, with a variant of the virus polluting the climate, causing acid rains and at times, chilling temperatures. for three years, scientists searched and tested for an antidote, and the didn't find it, until now. However, some would call it a cure, and some would call it a curse. The scientists of course needed subjects to make sure it would work, and they selected teenagers and young adults all across the world for it between the ages of 15 and 23, only to find, the antidote had an insane side effect. Special abilities, which altered anyone who would take it. Scientists cancelled it immediately, but it was too late. way too late.. ( THIS STORY IS INSPIRED BY THE MOVIE, " the darkest minds")

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. (A 1 hour read - short story - completed) Young chemist Sinclair, works deep inside the human extermination complex of the State government A government that was always fighting in a world war. The planet was radiating, and getting unbearable. The pollution, fueled by the occasional use of mile wide micro-atomic nuclear strikes, gave urgency of your own coming death, so much so, it drove many quite batty. For relief, Sinclair took all the free government medications, keeping himself high but responsible at his government chemistry work. En-route now to Lightlake air base. He intended to derail his life once and for all. But first he'd do his part, he would render the master chemtrail formula into a harmless state. That should last at least a year, if not longer, if it went undetected. It was the noble thing to do he thought, considering the enormous ever-growing state body count. We join Sinclair now on the military passenger jet as he finds himself once again witnessing a murder. His closest colleague's murder.
