Melrose is a new girl in the neighborhood of Detroit; As the Square's love to call it- Slum City of the Round's. Here, Rose is oblivious to the division within the people of Detroit. Since she lives in the slums, she's of course considered to be a Round.

One night during a bonfire, she meets Michael, who unknowingly was a Square. As time passed, they found themselves falling hard for one another, all while facing their own battles in their heavily broken homes.

How did they grow to love each other despite the tension between their neighborhoods? Despite Michael being the preppy rich Square boy with high standards for a girl, and Rose being nothing but a "hood" Round who doesn't meet those standards?

There was something about Rose that had him adhere to her like glue.
