A world unlike any other, separated into two kingdoms due to the years of distrust and hatred. One of these kingdoms is Day, and the other is Night. But there is one place where these two kingdoms collide. To determine a child's destiny. When a child is born, the parents of the offspring travel tot he center of the two kingdoms. This is where the old Mages conduct a ceremony of which is set to proclaim the child's placement. Not one being aside from the Mages are aware of what the ceremony consists of, as only the Mages themselves are allowed to obtain this knowledge. Once the ceremony is concluded, the child is provided with a mark, determining their kingdom as well as a necklace displaying their place in society. Nothing is ranked on bloodlines. If two day parents conceive a child of night, the family is separated and sentenced to live how the kingdom sees fit. But what happens when two children are born?? And their parents are from night and day?? An event such as this hasn't occurred in the past 200 years! The Mages decide to separate the sisters, as they possess both day and night, as yin and yang, they may be able to usurp the Mages' control over the two kingdoms. One sister is sent to the kingdom of Day, and the other to Night. Yet neither quite fit, as the Mages concluded to place the, in their opposite element, leaving them alone and practically harmless. They think this is the last they will hear of the children, yet they are wrong. Curiosity brings the two together, as they discover there is much more to this world of Fantasy aside from Night and Day.

There is a twist in this story though, with princess Y/n soon to be queen, she has one obstacle in the way. That obstacle being that she needs a partner to rule alongside her. Of course, after a few dates with princes, princesses, and even commoners, she still hasn't made a decision. So she ends up getting put in an arranged marriage, but once she meets these princes at the ball, something just sparks inside of her.
