Jasmine "Jaz" Dilan is a tattoo artist living in Newark and working in the Big Apple. Her days are spent doing what she loves, helping raise her niece, Rosamie, during the formidable teen years, and enjoying being single. Life is pretty good. The good life comes to an abrupt halt when Rosamie is found dead in the bed of Annie Xun, her girlfriend. This horrible tragedy is enough to send Jaz back to the worst time in her life. The anxiety and trauma of the situation is made all the worse when the police determine that it was act of murder, and the murder is connect to a tattoo Rosamie got shortly before she died. That tattoo is also from the worst time in Jaz's past, making her worry that a ghost has come back to haunt her. Jaz is riddled with worry, unable to sleep or live her life, Jaz has no choice but to run her own investigation while the police run off in the cliched wrong direction. Can Jaz find out what really happened to her niece in the last few hours of her life? Is her cursed history repeating itself? So many questions...
