After the season six finale, Theo becomes a trusted one amongst the main characters and is invited into the pact. Meanwhile Scott gets mad at Liam and can't control his werewolf senses, which resulted in Scott hurting Liam and ending up in the hospital. Liam is left with permanent damage to his breathing, face, and bone structure.
