The Battle is over, but someone still needs to pick up all the pieces. After spending the summer helping rebuild Hogwarts Castle, Hermione Granger has decided to return to school to complete her seventh year. Not many people from her year are returning, and she will be facing Hogwarts without Harry and Ron for the first time. However, a Gryffindor's courage will hold strong. Hermione is working to piece together all the broken souls left behind by the War, though there may be some people she wasn't expecting to want to fix.

Venom and Velvet deals with themes surrounding the mental struggles spurred by grief as well as victims of torture and child abuse.

This fic is decidedly less dramatic and edgy than most dramione fics. The purpose of the story is to show healing from trauma, not to be full of crazy twists and turns. If that's not your vibe, this isn't the story for you!
