Kaoru is entering Gakuen Alice, a school for children with special abilities. Her alice (ability) is water. She can control water, but she is more powerful than that. She can control humans. They are made of blood. And blood... is made of water. After escaping a difficult past and trying to start a new life, she is forced to do undercover work for the academy. After every job she becomes weaker and weaker. She has always lived by "never getting attached to anything", but she starts to form relationships. And one relationship particularly scares her. One with a boy named Ruka. She is afraid... of him. Of love. Of herself.

*This is a Gakuen Alice fan fiction. I would advise reading the manga first, but you don't necessarily have to. You can also watch the TV show if you want a little taste of the original plot. It's truly an amazing book. Some things I write may be a little different then what happens in the manga. I apologize to any extreme fans of the book, but I will try my hardest not to stray. And at first they call the main character a he. THIS IS PURPOSEFUL*
