Never Better

No one saw through the act she put on. The fake smiles, the haunting laughs. No one realised. How could they? For she was a master of the arts.

They knew real pain. Pain so intense, you wouldn't wish it upon your worst enemy, even if they were the ones that had caused it. They were so familiar with it that it took them seconds to see through her facade. And even less to see her true importance in their life.

They were closed off and rude. While people thought it was an accessory to their wealth, she saw the real pain. The pain that was hidden so well, but to her it was naked in their eyes. The windows to the soul. And she saw their tortured souls as clear as day, oh so similar to her own. But she also saw something else there. Something she didn't expect to see ever again.

As her past and present collide, threatening to destroy her future, she might just have to turn to the very people she's been running from her whole life.
Follow them on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Time might have healed the physical wounds of the past but the wounds on their hearts have left scars so deep that drowning might be the only option.
