Tess has had a massive accident at Niagara Falls in the end of May. She went kayaking with her psychiatrist, Ashton Irwin, who also was her secret crush, when something terrible happened and she fell down the falls. Ashton and her parents think they have lost her. However, little do they know that Tess survives and gets carried downstream, and she ends up close to Buffalo in the US. Apart from some scars and her amnesia, she is still okay. She is being found by Luke, a 22 year old charming young farmers boy, who brings her home to his grandparents. She lives there for almost two months, before passing out one day in a bookshop. She is being transported back to Toronto by the paramedics, where she wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by her parents. What should she do? Go back to the life she doesn't remember, with Ashton and her parents? Or to Luke and his grandparents, the life without any future, but the life she actually does remember?

I'm beautiful, I'm rich; I'm every guy's dream. In other words, I am perfect and I'm not afraid to flaunt it. But that's only what they tell me. I can't remember anything after the accident. I lost every memory I ever made, every thought I ever had. I was in a coma for five months and when I finally awoke in that sickeningly white hospital, no one would tell me anything; not even the black haired boy that scrambled to find a nurse as I moved for the first time in almost half a year. No one will give me the whole story and no one will tell me the truth. But I'm determined to figure it out because it's my life and I need to know who I was before the crash. The only problem: I don't know if I want to.
