So basically I just wanted to write an Envy x reader. Even though Brotherhood is a decade old now, and the story itself is nearly 20 years old. I noticed that the few Envy x reader stories on here were either very short, or haven't been updated in 3 years. (for some reason they were always in 2017?) but anyway I just wanted to write one for y'all who, like me, are desperate for a 100+ year old palm tree. Anyway let's see how this story goes.
This story is based on Brotherhood not the 2003 anime.

Chapters 19-65 are rewritten(will edit/rewrite 1-18). Chapters greatly rewritten will have a "*" around the *title* so old readers can scroll to the bottom see the changes=========== "Overseer." "...yes?" you timorously answered to that title. One you've forgotten. As with everything else. Your titles are what's left, added to the growing pile. Pierced and stamped on you, all of them lose their meaning with each use. Whether that was "demon" or "traitor" or "friend". They may as well have the same definition for someone like you. As strung along as a forgotten flake of snow in this mountain's gale. You were starting to tire of it. But then again... I Commenced My Descent
This is a significantly altered version of H. P. Lovecraft's horror story "The Alchemist." The original was written in 1908, and so is, as of 2020, well within the public domain. The text was taken in 2020 from this URL: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Alchemist_(Lovecraft) and modified by Wil Wroge (another pseudonym of Thomas Iota) as a response to a writing challenge issued by claytemplemedia.com I always enjoyed "The Alchemist" but did not consider it critically until Clay Temple Media made it the focus of one of their episodes of The Elder Sign podcast. Among other valid criticisms, the hosts suggested that Antoine, the protagonist, lacked agency, the supporting character Pierre was unsympathetic and illogical, and the antagonist was too easily overcome. So, I accepted this as a writing challenge. I've replaced Pierre with Agace (whom I hope is more sympathetic), given Antoine a much broader character arc, and made the antagonist, setting, and overall tone noticeably darker. I kept as much of the original text as possible, but I altered many sequences and added content freely in hopes of expanding the original enough to give the characters more interaction. I did my best to mimic the density of Lovecraft's diction and style in plot and setting revelations, but attempted also to add some of my own action and suspense into the climax. A warning to parents: there is significantly more violence in this story than in Lovecraft's original. He thought it was a sight for sore eyes; a beautiful thing next to something so disgusting. The pretty and captivating with the eye-sore. The rain grew dense and he felt as if ice cubes were falling on his neck and back. The tree tried its hardest to protect the boy, but droplets flew past soaked branches. He reasoned that this must be someone telling him that nothing can help him now. He closed his eyes and accepted it all. The cold, the pain, the wind on his face, hell, even the migraine growing louder in his skull... But the sound of strong footsteps is not one he expected. For legal reasons that I personally don't understand, I have to reiterate that I do not own Yugioh or the characters, this is just for entertainment purposes only. This fan fiction is full of yaoi, which is Male on Male homosexual shit, so if you don't like it, then don't read it. I'll try to upload all the chapters I can find but most of the chapters are missing because I never saved it properly and I deleted it prematurely out of my own insecurity. This is a prequel to Cops and Robbers (My new, adult!Astro x Reader which is a romance). So um this story may be on hold as I have lost interest and have no idea how to continue the story... . (Disclaimer, there is NO smut/inappropriate things, just cute and wholesome~♡ but warning, there may be some dark themes throughout.) . . This story is basically a sonic the hedghog fanfic. It's set in a dystopian reality. im still figuring out everyone's stories even the main plot. But I just go along as my mind pleases. The main 'object' that stirs this story is a plant, named the agony night floret, that infects living things. It was created accidentally in a facility by money hungry mobian scientists and main boss, scarlett the fox. she is the main 'villian', surprsingly not eggman lol. the agony night floret infects mobians, putting them in these stages. first a purple blue rash, then disconfiguration then having the chance to rott and turn into creepy lifeless zombie ish creatures, not hostile but really contagious. They roam around isolated areas. Or, they have the small chance by transforming into these cannibalistic 'flesh-gorgers', coming in different types, 3-4 times bigger than hosts/Mobians size. sonic and his friends travel firstly through the thick, white, winter forests, named 'Nobelwoods' in Nahada, trying to find the facility of where it all happened, while unexpectedly coming across a familiar haze of a huge mossy concrete structure of shadows old-old home. Burnt. It will be told why in the story. I have posted drawings of the characters/unfamiliar characters to understand better of what their appearances looks. thankz for reading this far if u have :) (I'm rambling abt the lore lol) . . . .
