[UNDER CONSTRUCTION] If the Sun was a volleyball, Tobio Kageyama would revolve around it.
It seemed as though he was born for the sake of playing, for the experience of how it felt to be on the court, for the feeling of winning. There were so many other roads to take on this trip to success, but the only one he ever wanted to take had to include volleyball and being the best. One could not exist without the other in his mind. There was nothing else that mattered.
Well, almost.
Every time he thinks about picking up that volleyball for the first time, he remembers the
girl who stood next to the ball asking to pass it with her. Every time he steps on the court, he remembers the team he'd practice next to and how one member never seemed to leave. Every time he imagined standing at Nationals celebrating a win, he remembers the libero saving the ball for a winning hit of her middle school game and the cheers that followed.
But that wasn't the point, just a minor detail, a background character.
A background character that would send Kageyama flying down a path he never would have considered.
