Humankind is on the brink of annihilation. It wasn't guns or bombs that killed billions, but a synthesized germ that swept the globe. The worldwide coronavirus that brought the planet to a halt in 2020 was just a taste of what was to come. Years later, that same organism was weaponized as an agent of genocide - the first salvo in what would become the Final War. Nearly 98% of the world population perished. Although a small number survived, the byproduct of that lethal pathogen only became evident years later when civilization tried to claw its way back from the brink. Yet nearly every survivor carried detrimental vestiges of that horrible contagion. Women rarely conceived. Those that did seldom made it to term. And when a healthy child was delivered, it was almost always a female. The handful of males born in the decades after the apocalypse were usually sterile themselves, making the extinction of our species seem imminent.
Yet somewhere n the deserts of New Mexico, a small community thrives, having been hidden away from the outside world since the global calamity. Secreted in a government facility deep within a modest mountain range rests Emergency Domicile Installation Nine - EDIN. Designed for more than 3000 inhabitants in the event of a national disaster, only ten percent of that number were able to reach safety in time. Most incredibly, the ancestors of the current residents took refuge in the bunker early enough in the war to have escaped the biological agent that wreaked havoc on the rest of the world. Men and women have existed in equal numbers for three generations. None carry any trace of the lethal and destructive coronavirus. They are the only humans left on the planet that can make that claim.
But, in the wasteland, if a single, breedable male is worth killing for, an entire community of them would invite all-out war. And the secret community of EDIN is about to be discovered by the outside world!

The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land. What does this new land hold hidden deep in the remnants of its former glory?

The final degree of Danger is succumbing to temptation. You give up listening to your fading instincts, give in to the voices in your head and you give it your all. Because the world is changing and if you don't change with it, you're dead by daylight. *** Danger is a virus that is spreading through everybody's Software. It turns you insane, kills your moral compass. No one knows where it came from or how to stop it but one thing is clear- nothing will ever be the same. MORITURI: Those About to Die by jdsecondine
1 part Complete
Man is born with two fears, and two fears only; the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Then they learn to fear each other, and rightfully so. Morituri follows a paramilitary group of survivors trying to restore order after a biological attack ravaged the US, turning man against man, and causing mass bloodshed across the world. But there's something, some one, in their midst that may be more dangerous to them than the virus itself. Throughout history, civilizations have prophesied of cataclysmic events that would wipe out the races of man. Modern movies and conspiracy theorists have for years warned of an apocalypse on the horizon, be it a war or economic collapse, or a spill of biological waste that contaminates and eradicates the populous. So engrained are we that there IS an apocalypse coming, a term has been devised for those getting ready to protect themselves and their families with any means necessary during this time. Preppers. Follow the preppers. And pray. There is something coming. Where do you fit in to the apocalypse? Are you the reason it's coming? Will it be your mistake? Or are you the one trying to save everyone else when it happens? Could you fight if you had to; could you kill? Look to Morituri. Find yourself in it. Because you're already there. We're all already there... Enter their world if you dare, but take with you your wits and any training you received in the military; you're going to need it. Sometimes being prepared just isn't enough. Good luck and God speed.
