The lookout towers and trade hubs? Gone. Washed clean. What does it take to take everything? Every home, every name, every last trace of what once was. And who would do such a thing? And how? Aurelia just wants to live a peaceful life. Unfortunately, the Heir of the Underground has other plans for her... ~ Left on the steps of the chapel at birth, Aurelia is taken in and trained to serve the High King, the defeater of the Fey. Only, unbeknownst to many, the Fey aren't truly gone. Though highly underpopulated, the Fey remain hidden in the Underground. They keep to themselves and avoid humans at all costs, all except for one charmingly mysterious Fey: The Heir of the Underground. And, much to Aurelia's horror, he's looking for her. And he's not at all opposed to crashing the High King's annual ball if it means getting to speak to her and reveal the truth of her heritage-a truth that Aurelia is not ready to face. But one can only avoid the truth for so long, and the more she fights who she is meant to be, the more danger she creates, not only for herself but for everyone she encounters along the way. One way or another, Aurelia is destined to go to the Underground. There, a mystery that only she can face is waiting to be solved. The Path of the Adventurer by MetalGearTom

Here is an epic fantasy story set in my D&D world that I wrote not only for fans of RPGs and fantasy in general, but for all my friends. This story about my character Erion, a young elven warrior; and his many allies and enemies in the kingdom of Briarbeth. In this vast story, you'll meet daring heroes, joy-bringing mages, ruthless orcs and more. This novel has a multitude of inspirations and influences, chief among them being Dungeons and Dragons, The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, and The Legend of Zelda. I even take cues from anime such as Little Witch Academia, and favorite video games like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and various JRPGs like Chrono Trigger. Look closely, and you may find subtle references to some of the aforementioned franchises at different points in the book :) Just a little warning: The story, especially the first couple of chapters, starts off with a several common fantasy tropes and clichés at first glance (e.g. elves and orcs, an old wizard with a pointy hat and a grey beard, taking treasure from dragon etc.), but it will grow into something a bit more unique as the story progresses. Please forgive my usage of Tolkienesque tropes, as I came up with the concept of the series when I was only fourteen (At the time I was making it in the style of old school fantasy, so what can you expect :p). Even I, as the creator will say it is cliched or stereotypical in some aspects. I only refuse to change them due to spending a lot of time with them during my high school years (And tbh i love elves/dwarves/orcs fantasy). With that aside, I hope that you will love my fantasy universe full of adventure and lore. Now sit back, relax, and embrace yourself for a magical adventure with Erion and his friends! Listened to Twilight Force, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Power Quest, and various other power metal bands while I was writing this :) (Character drawings found at the end of the story)

Until one day she narrowly avoids being kidnapped, discovering in the same day a whole new universe that she is supposedly a part of. As she navigates the elven world of Earthe with the help of a particularly attractive elf boy, she learns secrets about her identity and her father's, of whom she believed had ditched her and her mom at an early age. Soon Mia discovers that peace isn't as easy as it seems, and while Earthe may be beautiful, there are dark parts that are creeping back to the light. Even in a world of perfect beings such as elves, lies can be spun as precisely as an arrow can pierce a target, and evil can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Safe to say she finds herself in one hell of an adventure. - - TW: if you need a tw for fighting, violence, weapons, blood, death, etc. I would read with caution (I don't get into any gory details, but there are scenes w/ this) I will put tw's for the more violent scenes.

Fairy Lands- Book 1 by TrashyM

The word 'Fairy' meant very little to Sam. He imagined mischievous little imps with brightly coloured wings, he imagined cute little tricksters who delighted young children. He knew them only as a story, one he was a little too old for. But real Fairies were not so whimsical, real fairies stalked prey before devouring them bit by bit, real Fairies were unnatural creatures of darkness, barred from the Fae world of Galadria. Sam Turnble always had trouble fitting in, controlling his anger and staying in one school long enough to make friends. Entering his last years of education, he was determined to stick it out. His mother was exasperated, and after finding her son crawling on the ceiling one early morning, she was contacted by Stildegar School. Stildegar was a special school made only for those transitioning from human to Fae. Witches, Werewolves, Vampires and now a Fairy, all converged together at this castle built into a steep cliff. There had only ever been one other Fairy Changeling to enter that school and Sam felt oddly connected to him, even if he was banished to the dark realm almost 40 years prior. Haunted by ghosts of the past and torn between who he is and who he wants to be, Sam must unravel the mystery of his predecessor all the while falling in messy love with a Vampire Initiate. It's a mess, it's dramatic and it's certainly no fairy tale. MxM TW: Violence/sexual themes.
