Romance
Avonlea never had the opportunity to know what home was. Because apparently, it wasn't any of the houses she'd lived in her whole life. Until Lucas fell at her feet. Literally. Then home were his arms, his rare dimpled smiles, and the way his eyes sent her in a time rush, where she didn't know the difference between silly dreams and old forgotten memories. »»----- ♡ -----«« BLURB His voice is so steady in contrast with my heartbeats when he says, "Ave, I think it's important to realize that you can miss something and still not want it back. We're humans after all." Have I ever told him to start writing his own book with how well he makes me lose my words at how he speaks? And... Ave? My smile stretches on my face as I remind him, "it's Avonlea. With the amount of times I've told you, people would say it has to be engraved somewhere on your brain." His eyes move from my eyes, to my smile, and if he keeps this stare thing up, it won't be there in a minute. But then his grey pools settle on my lips and the smile vanishes from them as quickly as it came, especially with the warning tone he uses with my new nickname, "Ave." It's decided then. I have a new nickname. I was getting bored of the old one anyway. The redness on my neck goes on it's journey toward my cheeks, splattering them in a blush I can't quite hide from him, especially when his voice drops an octave as he pulls my lower lip from between my teeth, "stop doing that, darlin', you're killing me." You've never seen blush until you've seen the red hue of it splash over my whole face, until all I can feel is hot, and his body between my thighs. Oh, and that kiss that quickly steals my breath away.

When River crosses paths with a man who speaks to every hidden hunger inside her, their connection spirals into an all-consuming pull neither of them can resist-but is she Grayson's salvation... or his ruin? *** Everyone in River Avelle's hometown knows about Grayson Maddox-the troubled bad boy who almost killed another student in the middle of the school hallway. Those who look into Grayson's eyes only see pure fury and hatred. They all think he's beyond redemption, even Grayson himself. But not River. As the seemingly perfect good girl, River saw something more in those alluring grey eyes. Something worth holding onto. From the first time their eyes connect, both Grayson and River feel the intense, undeniable attraction between them...but neither of them understand what's pulling them together so fiercely. The closer they get and the more vulnerable they become, River has to wonder: is she saving Grayson from his darkness? Or is she just pulling him further into hers? *** He tips my head toward his with his index finger, keeping my eyes trained on him and driving me crazy with the primal look on his face. His grey eyes look heavy, filled with dark desire, and a shock runs up through my core. Everything around us disappears and all I can sense is him and the hardness pressing between my legs. "What are you doing to me, River?" he whispers, his voice raspy and utterly captivated. His face is lowering and I'm closing my eyes, waiting for soft lips to press against mine. My whole body is on fire as I hold my breath for his touch. *** Cover by @strayin
