Main character Abby Wolf and her best friend, Max Offutt, are gamers. Abby is 21 and Max is 20. Max was streaming on smplive with her online best friend, Cooper, and Abby happened to walk in. There was a sound of someone spitting liquid from their mouth and that catches her attention. Max says, "Ted, don't spit milk out of your mouth. That's gross." Abby quickly gets out of frame, glad that only her back was showing. What happens next, changes both their lives.
